Job Description

As an SDK programmer, you are responsible for programming games and experiences we design for the Decentraland metaverse. You will use the capabilities offered by the Decentraland SDK to code games and experiences to be able to support streaming audio/video, NFT gating, game loops, etc. We’re looking for someone who is creative, diligent, and passionate about making the metaverse fun.

Job requirements

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of video game coding/programming experience

  • Experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and Unity

  • Expertise managing projects using Git

  • Passionate about the metaverse and the opportunities it provides

  • Knowledge about general game design concepts and game logic

  • Team player who enjoys working both independently and in small groups

  • Be an active member and contributor to the Decentraland community and ecosystem

  • Excellent written and spoken English

  • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize effectively

  • Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment and collaborate remotely via Discord, Zoom/Google Meet

  • Familiar with Google Workspace suite of products, including Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets


Nice to Have:

  • Prior experience building in Decentraland

  • Leadership experience

  • Knowledge of other metaverse worlds

  • Experience with P2E gaming business models and tokenomic design
